Bringing a Large Event to Hilliard

Hilliard welcomes events that attract visitors, activate public spaces, and contribute to our local economy. If you’re planning a large-scale event, festival, race, tournament, or cultural experience, this resource is designed to help set you up for success.

Large events often require coordination beyond a single venue. That’s where early planning and the right partnerships matter.

Start with Destination Hilliard

If your event has the potential to attract visitors from outside the area, Destination Hilliard can serve as a strategic partner early in the process.

We can help you:

  • Evaluate how your event fits into Hilliard’s event landscape
  • Explore eligibility for Destination Hilliard’s Sponsorship Program
  • Identify ideal timing, locations, and community considerations
  • Connect with local partners, venues, and businesses
  • Understand promotional opportunities and visitor marketing support

Starting the conversation early allows us to align expectations and help you navigate next steps efficiently. Reach out to us at events@destinationhilliard.org.

Destination Hilliard Tourist Attraction Sponsorship Program

Destination Hilliard offers a Sponsorship Program to support events that drive visitation, overnight stays, and economic impact.

Sponsorships may include:

  • Financial support
  • Marketing and promotional assistance
  • On-site activation or visitor engagement support

Sponsorship consideration is based on factors such as:

  • Visitor draw and geographic reach
  • Alignment with Hilliard’s tourism goals
  • Timing, scale, and audience
  • Community and economic impact

Note: submitting a sponsorship request does not replace City of Hilliard approvals. Destination Hilliard is a 501c4 dedicated to marketing the Hilliard community.

When City Coordination Is Required

Many large events require coordination with the City of Hilliard, particularly when they:

  • Use public property, streets, or parks
  • Require road closures or traffic control
  • Involve large crowds, amplified sound, or safety planning
  • Impact nearby businesses or neighborhoods

City involvement helps ensure events are safe, compliant, and well-coordinated for both organizers and the community. When in doubt, reach out!
