Hilliard History Express Wins RUBY Award for Community Spirit
We’re thrilled to share that Destination Hilliard’s Hilliard History Express has been honored with the “Spirit of Community” RUBY Award by the Ohio Travel Association!
The RUBY Awards, celebrate exceptional achievements in Ohio’s travel and tourism industry. This recognition shines a spotlight on what makes Hilliard unique: collaboration, creativity, and community pride.
The Hilliard History Express was created to help students, families, and visitors explore local history through an interactive trail of historic sites and local businesses. The initiative was made possible through a strong partnership between Destination Hilliard, Hilliard City Schools, The Hilliard Ohio Historical Society. and the City of Hilliard.
We are especially grateful to sponsor, The Westwood Collective, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), whose support through the AWS Community Fund grant program helped this project come to life.
This award belongs to the entire Hilliard community. The organizations, schools, and businesses that came together to make local history engaging and accessible created a truly special experience. Together, we’re not just celebrating Hilliard’s past—we’re building pride in its future.
