For many families, Eid begins with morning prayer followed by a shared meal—a time to gather, reflect and celebrate together.
This year in Hilliard, that tradition found a welcoming space at Louie’s Latin American Kitchen.
Ahead of the holiday, Hilliard City Councilwoman Nadia Rasul shared that families were looking for local options to gather for breakfast after morning prayer. With just a few days’ notice, Louie’s opened reservations for the morning of Eid.
By the evening prior, all reservations were filled.
The result was a full and lively morning, with families coming together to celebrate in a way that felt both meaningful and close to home. Moments like this reflect the growing diversity of Hilliard and the ways local businesses can help create space for community traditions.
